I have always admired the images in Country Living magazine but had no idea how much higher a level the photography is compared to normal journalism. Professional images present craftspeoples work so much better than amateur snaps and as digital SLR cameras come down in price it would be easy to imagine that it was possible to get semi professional images on a budget these days. Andrews attention to detail and eye for a good shot and good lighting were a revelation but so was his kit. The digital back of his camera alone (not the body or the leneses) cost £21,000 3 years ago. We were both really pleased with the images though and I can't wait to see them in print.

I'm looking forward to the images.
Fantastic! Looking forward to the fall issue.
I'll have to buy a couple of copies. Can't wait to see the results of the photo shoot.
Do you get Country Living in the States too Kari?
Congratulations on the shortlisting, when is the result announced. I think it's a great scheme that they run with that award. It really helps to celebrate the things that should be celebrated.
Good luck.
Hannah
