Beautiful spoon. Graceful lines and subtle facets on the back. Pride well deserved. Robin, is the paint from dry pigments? I have been experimenting with some artist's oils (as in Jogge's book), so I am curious what you've used for the colors.
Hi Dave, The paints are natural pigments I bought in Sweden years ago. Normally I make an egg and oil emulsion like this http://greenwood-carving.blogspot.co.uk/2008/12/how-to-make-home-made-paint.html but these rims are done with a straight oil paint because I have some amazing 5 year old raw linseed that goes off really quickly.
